Novak Djokovic advanced to his 16th quarterfinal at the grass-court Grand Slam with his 101st singles victory at Wimbledon on Monday. He also came within four wins of matching Roger Federer's record of 105 match wins at the tournament. The Serbian paid tribute to the eight-time Wimbledon champion after Djokovic defeated Alex de Minaur 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 with the Swiss icon there.

During his on-court interview, Djokovic stated, "It's probably the first time he's watching me and I've won the match."  "It's fantastic to break the curse because I lost the match in the last couple of games.

"Having Roger here is fantastic. He is a major champion and someone I greatly liked and loved. We've performed together for a long time, and it's wonderful to see him return to his most cherished and prosperous competition."
