Chelsea is happy to report that Joao Pedro, a Brazil international, has joined from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 23-year-old forward, who has signed a long-term contract with the Blues that expires in 2033, joins the team right before our quarterfinal matchup with Palmeiras in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Everyone is aware that this is a large club with a rich past. "Joao Pedro said." They currently have outstanding players, just as they did in the past. I'm thrilled to be joining, and as a Chelsea player, you have to concentrate on winning.
Joao Pedro, a native of Fluminense, a Brazilian powerhouse, initially gained recognition as a talented adolescent with a knack for scoring goals. Before moving to English football, he scored 10 goals in 36 games for the Rio club.
He continued his adventure with Watford, where he made 109 appearances, scored 24 goals, and occasionally wore the captain's armband during the 2022–2023 season—all before turning 22.
Joao Pedro joined Brighton in 2023 and immediately made an impression.
After scoring on his debut, he had a tremendous season, ending as the Seagulls' joint-top scorer with 19 goals across all competitions.
Joao is a dynamic forward with experience in the top division. He has three caps for Brazil on the international scene, the most recent of which came in a 2-1 victory against Colombia.
